Our Purpose

This journal of opinion (liberally salted with facts) is intended to express a progressive perspective (liberally salted with, well, liberalism) and to heap well-earned scorn upon the two primary causes of our current political morass:

1. The appalling weakness, passivity, disorganization, lack of vision and paucity of message demonstrated by the Democratic Party and its poorly named "leaders", who have, willfully and with a seeming inability to either learn from history or envision a future beyond the current press cycle, prostrated themselves at the feet of their enemies like whipped curs groveling for scraps, and

2. The blatant mendacity, cynicism, corruption and naked hunger for power demonstrated by the Republican party, its wholly-owned Supreme Court, and its many would-be Führers, who, from their Olympian seat atop a mountain of blood-soaked and ill-gotten lucre, exploit the willful ignorance and wishful thinking of a credulous public in order to deliver them, like cattle to a slaughterhouse, into the grasping hands of their corporate paymasters,

unless and until these pimps, whores, jackals and blowflies stop victimizing the greater U.S. population through the exploitation of feckless liberal butterflies, cretinous right-wing extremists, impenetrable conspiracy theorists, gun nuts, tea-party simpletons, vacuous and literal bible-thumpers and an American populous so uninformed and unquestioning that they neither understand where their interests lie nor manifest the will to pursue them.
